Banrisul Authorized Debt receives national acknowledgment

 

Banrisul stood out within in the national financial system by the deployment of the Authorized Direct Debit (ADD) project. The institution received seven medals in total - four medals for IT solutions and three medals for the management area - from Interbank Payments Chamber (CIP), a company that serves the Brazilian Federation of Banks in information technology. For the operation of the ADD, the Bank has developed a new system, along with ten other systems changes, involving 38 professionals from the IT area and 12 from management and business areas, using up a total of 12,665 hours on the project.

According to the Mr. Rubens Bordini, Banrisul’s Executive Vice-President and Chief Information Officer, the award is the recognition of the Institution’s skilled labor in the sectors of banking technology and management. "The project developed by the Bank has different characteristics, such as automatic calculation of discounts and rebates for early payment of debt", he said. He noted that during the implementation schedule of the DDA, Banrisul had a relevant performance in the stage to validate electronic message transfers, becoming the first bank to send them to the CIP. The Bank also performed well on the completion of the project within the stipulated time, on the steps of files validation, models and stress tests.

DDA Banrisul already has about 800 thousand collection documents registered in the system. To view and electronically pay them (by means of Internet Banking, ATMs and phone calls − “Banrifone” -), Banrisul’s customers must register via the Home Banking or the Office Banking at www.banrisul.com.br, or at the service platforms located at branches.

The service allows for electronic presentation of payment slips, replacing the paper delivery. Customers can pay electronically for payment recorded as tuition, fees, health insurance, home mortgage and auto loans, among others. Initially, taxes (property tax, vehicle tax, fines, etc) regular utilities services, such as water, electricity and telephone bills, are not available for payment in the system. It is also possible to search and pay collections and bills which are of the responsibility of the customer, like, for example, school payments on behalf of the customer’s children.
